Greyfaced Ewe Lambs
On Thursday 30th September 2004 Harrison & Hetherington, Carlisle
conducted their second show and sale of Greyface ewe lambs when they
presented
2402 head.
A quality show of nine pens were forward for the pre sale judging which
was carried out by Mr David Brough of Seat Hill Farm, Irthington, Carlisle.
He awarded the 1st prize and championship rosette to a very correct pen
of lambs from Mr R Wigham of Hargill House, Coanwood, Haltwhistle, Northumberland.
The trade on the day was very satisfactory with buyers from throughout
the UK appreciating the excellent run of ewe lambs on offer resulting
in a very respectable overall average of £66.02.
