ST JOHNS CHAPEL SWALEDALE EWES AND GIMMER LAMBS

On Friday 27th September 2003, Harrison & Hetherington Limited St Johns Chapel, conducted the annual sale of 2000 Swaledale ewes and gimmer lambs.

A splended atmosphere with numerous customers present from a wide area resulting in the swaledale ewe average rising by £11.06 to level at at £53.12, gimmer lambs rose by £9.14 to level at £42.

Swaledale gimmer shearlings £108, £100, £88 & £83 South Wellhope, £86, £82, £70 (x2), £68 & £65 Hill Farm, £67 White Hills, £64 Round Meadows, £60 & £56 Billingshield, £59, £52 & £50 Ireshope Plains, £58 Low Green Head, £54 & £52 Black Cleugh, £51 Glenwhelt.

Warrented Swaledale ewes £82 & £61 Swailesburn, £64 & £52 Billingshield, £62, £56 & £52 South Wellhope, £58 & £56 Ireshope Plains, £55 Hawkwell Head, £55 White Hills, £55 Glenwhelt, £54 Sunderland Cleugh, £53 & £50 Westburnhope, £52 Butreeford.

Swaledale gimmer lambs £67, £52 (x2) & £50 White Hills, £54 Meadow Cottage, £50 West End, £50 Round Meadows.
