St Johns Chapel Nemsa Mule Gimmer Lamb Sale

On Friday 19th September 2003, Harrison & Hetherington Limited St Johns Chapel, conducted the annual sale of 1155 NEMSA mule gimmer lambs, mule shearlings and store lambs.

As at other centres the mule gimmer lambs rose in value from the previous year, the increase of £4.52 brought this years average to £58.36. Purchasers were present from the Southern Counties along with those from the North.

The show sponsored by Barclays Bank PLC was judged by Mr E Holliday, Wigton who made the following awards :-
1st and winner of the C Birbeck Perpetual Cup, M & B Coulthard, Bridge End £80 to E Holliday,
2nd J Robinson, Low Ling Riggs £72 to E Halliday,
3rd A Peart & Son, Woodcroft £78 to E Holliday.
