The Firm held their annual sale of Texel Rams at Lockerbie on 23rd September 2003 and as with other sales quality rams were easily sold with the poorer end harder to cash.

The sale which was kindly sponsored by Macmin had over 180 rams forward was judged by Mr Watson, Crookholm, who awarded the Championship to Mr S Harrison, Lucemains with a ram lamb sold at £350.

Outwith the show sheep a top of £520 went to a 2 shear Texel from Mr D Stein, Whitcastle.

The firm also held their second sale of Cheviot Hill lambs which sold to a top of £38.80 from Craigpark with M/s Patterson, Terrona, selling at £35.50 and M/s Elliot, Burnfoot of Ewes at £34.50.

In the Ewe Lamb section Halfbred Ewe Lambs were again in big demand selling to £68 from M/s Mitchell, Auchenknight and M/s Strawhorn, Annefield. Cheviot Mules sold to £60 from M/s Anderson, Priesthaugh, Kelso.
