LAZONBY STORE & BREEDING SHEEP SALE

On Wednesday 8th October 2003, Harrison & Hetherington Ltd, Lazonby held their fortnightly sale of all classes of store lambs and breeding ewes, where there was a tremendous entry of 1490 head. In the special prize show for store lambs which was kindly sponsored by Jobsons Farm Health the following awards were given by the judge Mr W Raine, Renwick. Best pen of 30 or more Continental cross I Mark & Son, Ousby, Best pen of 30 or more Mules G Iveson, Ousby, Best pen of 30 or more Swales HH & A Richardson, Alston.

A good crowd of customers ensured a brisk trade, good Texel lambs £40 -£44, Mules £34 - £37.80 with Swales £22 - £28, all vendors left well pleased with prices achieved.
