On Friday 24th October 2003, Harrison & Hetherington
held their annual Lukes Fair sheep sale where 5,222 head were put before
the assembled crowd of customers.
Swaledale ewes were keenly sought to
sell to a top of £98 from AD Coates, Aygill to average a very satisfactory £41.65.
Swaledale gimmer lambs saw varied bidding, while Mule
gimmers sold extremely well to top at £67.
