North Country Cheviot Ewe Lambs sold to £140 and £120 for two superb pens from Messrs Thomson, Hownam Grange

A catalogue entry of 4222 Cheviot Ewes & Lambs met an overwhelming demand with an absolutely terrific trade at Lockerbie.

Draft hill ewes sold to £61 for a tremendous pen from Mr Paton, Castle Crawford, Abington with the purchaser being Mr Bell, Winterhope.

Hill Cheviot ewe lambs sold to £39 again from Castle Crawford with the Purchaser being Mr J Barker, Capplegill.

North Country Cheviot Draft Ewes were in big demand and sold to £52 from Mr Elliot, Hethpool to Mr Scott, Kirkland, Jedburgh. This was followed at £51 by Kingside & £50 Whitehope.

North Country Cheviot Gimmers sold to £82 from Mr Allan, Leaderfoot to Mr Middleton. This was closely followed at £80 from Mrs Jackson, Ericstane with Cumstone and Higher Hall, Barnstable selling at £78.

North Country Cheviot Ewe Lambs were a flyer and sold to £140 and £120 for two superb pens from Mr Thomson, Hownam Grange with the purchaser being Mr Cloverdale, York.
