On Wednesday 30th October 2002, at Lazonby Mart, Harrison & Hetherington held their forth sale of Mule gimmer lambs, together with Store lambs, Breeding ewes and rams of all breeds where a total catalogue entry of 3200 head was presented.

The Mule gimmer lambs were a tremendous trade with several buyers in attendance from across the south of England, with 1500 head selling to a top of £71 from RJ Bell, Scarrowmanwick to level at £56.89 an increase of £3.54 on the fortnight.

Store lambs were also a sharp trade, with a high proportion being Swale lambs, strong sorts receiving plenty of interest, with longer term lambs selling to a level trade.

Swaledale ewes met a ready market selling to £40 each, broken mouth ewes to £31 each. A good entry of all classes is anticipated for the next sale in a fortnight.
