On Friday, 19th August 2005 Harrison & Hetherington Ltd held their monthly sale of Beef Breeding Cattle. Beef breeding cows and heifers with calves at foot were sold to a well travelled and local customer base. Trade was fair with a large percentage of cattle on show older cows with spring born calves at foot but still selling well.

A noted consignment was from M/s James of Low House Farm, Bassenthwaite which had seven Limousin cross heifers with calves at foot averaging £960 per unit. Also top price of the day was a fantastic Belgian blue cross second calved cow with a Limousin cross heifer calf selling for £1800 from Geoff Bowe of Bothel Parks.
