On Friday 29th July 2005, Harrison & Hetherington Ltd held their monthly sale of Beef Breeding Cattle. The show of cows and calves comprised of several consignments of older units these met with good demand as prices reached were very satisfactory. Top quality units were few and far between, however, those forward met with an excellent demand topping at £1150 for a wonderful unit consigned from Messrs Martindale, Cummersdale Grange Farm. Bulling heifers also sold well topping at for an excellent pen consigned from Messrs Collister, Home Farm, Birkby.
