On Thursday 10th July 2003, Harrison & Hetherington conducted their monthly sale of beef breeding cows and heifers with calves or in calf and bulling heifers. A huge crowd of prospective purchasers packed into the ring, where a large entry of quality outfits were presented. Trade troughout was tremendous with over 40 outfits breaking the £1000 barrier.



The top price of the day being £1320 for the pick of a tremendous consignment of heifers and calves from regular sale supporter Mr F Tower, Curwin Hill, Lancaster. In calf heifers were also well sought after with a top price of £800.

The bulling heifer trade did not meet the heights of previous sales however prices were again satisfactory.
