On Thursday 14th November 2002, Harrison & Hetherington conducted their monthly sale of breeding cows and heifers with calves or in calf, bulling heifers and beef breeding bulls .

A big crowd was present however bidders were selective with only the best attracting keen interest. Top price of the day being £1800 for a superb Belgian X heifer with bull calf consigned by Messrs Allen, Warren House. In the bulling heifer section quality was again the key word, top of the price list being £640 for an exceptional pen of young bulling hiefers consigned by Mr K Muir, Middle Farm, Laithes. Beef Breeding Bulls were sold at a top price of £1800 for a very good Limousin bull from Mr Afsari, Gallowshieldrigg.
