On Thursday 24th October 2002, Harrison & Hetherington conducted their monthly sale of 700 breeding cows and heifers with calves or in calf and bulling heifers.

A large attendance of buyers from all over the United Kingdom, which ensured that all good quality units sold well above vendors expectations, with many purchasers going short of numbers.

Pospective purchasers were out in force in the bulling heifer section, numbers on offer were not sufficient to satisfy requirements, however a good quality show resulted in a seasons top price of £800 for an exceptional pen of Limousin heifers consigned by Messrs Dickinson, Kirkbarrow.
