On Thursday 13th June 2002, Harrison & Hertherington held their monthly sale of beef breeding cattle when they presented an entry of over 900 cows and heifers with calves or in calf and bulling heifers.

The reputation for high quality units ensured that buyers were present from all part of the country. In the cow and calf section trade started very brightly and continued throughout the day with vendors leaving the ring very satisfied. Topping the market at £1,620 was a young Limousin cross cow and calf from J Woodburn & Ptrs of Mansrigg Hall, Ulverston.

In the bulling heifer section the quality of stock on offer comprised a good selection and prices throughout reflected on this to maintain high rates.
