On Thursday 28th March 2002, Harrison & Hetherington Limited held their monthly sale of beef breeding cattle when they presented an entry of 665 cows and heifers with calves or in calf together with bulling heifers and breeding bulls.

A good ringside of both local and distant buyers filled the sale ring and all classes maintained a strong brisk trade as per last months sale. The quality of cattle throughout was generally good with the exception of in calf cows and heifers which reflected on the price.

In the bulling heifer ring a larger entry was forward and buyers were more selective with their bidding resulting in a premium being paid for quality heifers.
