Lockerbie Store Cattle

On Tuesday, 14th February Harrison & Hetherington Ltd held their sale of store cattle at their Lockerbie Auction Mart.

A super show of 355 store cattle at Lockerbie was forward and another huge attendance of buyers resulted in a great trade. Bullocks to £1200 for Aberdeen Angus Bullocks from M/s Reid of Glendearg, Eskdalemuir, a marvellous pen of Limousin bullock calves from M/s D&A Teller of Cleughfoot sold at 265p/kg. Heifers sold to £1320 for 502kg Limousin cross from Mr C Lockhart of Robgill Mains and to 285p/kg for a Limousin heifer from Mr G Bell of Haasgrove. 184 bullocks averaged 211.4p/kg and 151 heifers averaged 205.2p/kg. The next sale is on the 28th February with 500 cattle expected.
