Harrison & Hetherington Ltd held their sale of cast on Monday at
Kirkby Stephen Mart when 34 were forward.
Topping at £1,182.92 (145.5p/kg) was a Limousin cow from R & M Hunter,
Thorneyscale. The sale averaged £837.33 for a predominantly dairy show
of cows. Trade for all types was some 5-8p/kg dearer on the fortnight
with all classes being wanted and many more could have been sold to a
great demand.
