Broughton Store Cattle

At Broughton on Tuesday 11th October Harrison & Hetherington held their first show and sale of suckler calves and store and breeding cattle.

A tremendous show of cattle was forward for the pre sale show, this ensured a tough task for judge Mr Stickland of Great Farm. The overall championship was awarded to NA & J Temple, Blackhall Farm for their British Blue steer which later went on to sell for £810 going to J Kirkbride of Bracelet Hall.

Top price of the day went to Mr JJ Warriner of Hollin Bank Farm with a Limousin steer which sold at £980. All vendors went home delighted with the day’s trading.
