Weekly sales of Dairy cattle are held at Borderway each

A smaller entry which attracted as much interest as ever. The milk price,
Euro and bad weather did not affect trade which was as keen as in previous
weeks.

A smaller show of dairy
cattle were offered with good new calved heifers selling to £1900 with older
3rd and 4th calved cows selling over £1000 barrier.

were forward in fewer numbers with a good trade seen throughout.

A poorer show of cattle were on offer to a smaller attendance of bidders but all cattle still sold well.

Dairy cows were forward in similar
numbers as last week with all classes selling to exceed recent high
rates. A batch of in calf heifers from Messrs Simpson, Riggfoot, Kirklinton
sold to a top of £1820 to average £1430.
