Weekly Commercial Dairy Sale Report
Harrison and Hetherington held their monthly show and sale of Holstein cattle on behalf of the Border and Lakeland Club on Wednesday 15th February at Borderway, Carlisle. Recent sales had seen record averages with demand for milking animals far outweighing the numbers being offered on the open market. [report]
The first sale of the year started with a bang for the Border & Lakeland Holstein Show and Sale at Borderway, Carlisle. Cows and heifers averaged £2230 with a top price of 3,300gns for the overall Champion. Buyers were impressed with the quality on offer classy udders on wide powerful heifers came one after the other with some very impressive pedigrees to attract the top breeders. [report]
