Middleton in Teesdale - Store Cattle

Harrison & Hetherington Ltd conducted the May Prize Show and Sale of 238 store cattle & suckled calves at Middleton in Teesdale Mart on Tuesday. 

Trade was level throughout,  Bullocks averaged £680.21 & Heifers £617.29

The show, which was kindly sponsored by Farmhouse Kitchen, Alston Road Garage, David Tunstall Tractors and Copley Coal,  was judged by Mr E Fawcett who awarded the championship to a Limousin x Heifer from M/s. J C & J White, Rigg Farm, which later sold for £3,700 to M/s. A D & R M C Bishop, Gloucester.
