At Broughton Market on Tuesday 24th August 2010 Harrison & Hetherington held their annual August Show and sale of store cattle.

Small show of store cattle met a keen enquiry and prices attained were very satisfactory.

The pre show judging was carried out by Mr Allan Myerscough who awarded the first prize ticket to M/s McKinney of Ellermere and the second prize rosette was presented to M/s Holland of Low Scales.

Leading steer prices:- Limousin £635 Scale Hook Farm, £550 Scarr Head, £505, £480 Croglin Hurst, £500 Ellermere Farm, British Blue £630(x2) Scale Hook Farm, Charolais £565(x2) Low Scales

Leading heifer prices:- British Blue £575, £545, £535(x2), Blonde D’Aquitaine £505 Low Scales, Limousin £490 Scarr Head, Charolais £480 Low Scales.
