Star of the Sale shines bright
The front cover girl of the Bringlee sale did not disappoint her fans
as she scooped the leading price of the day at 13,000gns for Graham Brindley
of Shropshire.

Bringlee Desiree is a 13 month old show stopper sired by the imported Sjaka Zoeloe and bred of the all time great herd brood cow Bringlee Sandy. Desiree already has a collection of accolades to her name as she won 1st prize at the Borderway Agri Expo and the Senior heifer title also Champion at the Welsh Calf Show last season. She sold to Ceirian and Anna Jones for their Rhiwonnen herd based at Lampeter, Ceredigion.

It was a full ET sister to Desiree that secured the next leading price
of 9,000gns. Bringlee Dorinda has also enjoyed the show ring success
but has always been the bridesmaid to her sister as she has stood second
on every occasion. This lovely black and white heifer joins the Tanat
herd for Shropshire breeders WR & WW Jones of Oswestry.
Another Bringlee Sandy daughter took the next price of 8,500gns. Bringlee
Estelle, a daughter of Graphite, already has the making of being a show
winner as she won the intermediate heifer class at the Welsh Calf Show
2009. She travels into Southern Ireland for Trevor Ashmore of Co.Wexford.
A great Bringlee Blackstar daughter came next in the price listing at
6,500gns. Bringlee Electra, a 13 month old heifer out of the imported
Cerise cow, already has a show career to her credit as she won Breed
and Interbreed calf champion at Nantwich show last year and no doubt
she will be one for the 2010 show circuit. She sold to Paul Barwood of
Great Yarmouth, Norfolk.
The Sandy family featured again as the youngest daughter of this great
cow sold for 6,200gns. Bringlee Eesandy, a daughter of Gamin des 3 Frontieres,
is the only daughter of this mating to be bred at Bringlee and is half
brother to Blackstar, Waldo and Wishmaster all proven sires featuring
through many herds today. Successful purchaser was AG Teasdale of Melmerby,
Penrith.
Guest consignor to the sale was Boomer Birch of Stafford who offered
four yearling heifers and sold to a top price of 6,200gns. Boomer Destiny,
a daughter of Bringlee Waldo and out of a Gib sired mother Gregmaur Abba.
Destiny was shown in her early years aged 6 months and clinched the reserve
champion ticket at the Northwest club calf show. She was knocked down
to Aberdeenshire enthusiasts JC Innes & Sons of Huntly.
