Harrison & Hetherington held the dispersal sale for Messrs F&E Thomlinson & Son, Bolton Park, Mealsgate of the entire Milking portion following the sale of the farm the sale ring was filled with volume purchasers from Devon and Norfolk to the North of Scotland.

With the top price of the day of 2900gns for an Ayrshire cow, Lot 248 that was newly calved, going to Messrs McIntyre, Gilmill Cottage, Stewarton. The same purchaser also got the second top price being 2000gns for a Guernsey cow that was four weeks calved.
All classes and breeds were very good to sell, with an average of 246 cows averaged £1028.
