Skirwith Hall show up in style
Numbers of freshly calved cows and heifers were down in June at the Border & Lakeland Holstein club sale; however the quality was high with many super uddered animals selling. There was an atmosphere of confidence with the weather and a future rise in milk price helping to improve the short term outlook for milk producers.
The event was sponsored by Paragon Vets and Cogent and judged by local young breeder Daniel Bargh from Woodclose Skelton. He confidently tapped forward his champion and reserve with both heifers featuring in the top price league.
