On Saturday 30th October 2010, Harrison & Hetherington held their annual Luke Fair sale of 4,638 Sheep, comprising 125 Ram, 2,386 Swaledale and other breed ewes, 943 Swaledale Gimmer Lambs, 682 Mule Gimmer Lambs and 502 Gimmer Lambs of other breeds. Breeding ewes and lambs were in demand with averages rising by £22.62 for Swaledale ewes levelling at £85.79 for correct ewes and £51.40 for broken mouth ewes. Other breed ewes averaged £99.76 (+ £14.56 on the year).
