Harrison & Hetherington Ltd held their New Fair Sale of Ewes, Shearlings and Hoggs with Lambs and Geld hoggs at Kirkby Stephen Mart on Thursday.
Trade was fantastic for all classes of sheep with the overall average by £10.07 per head up on the year. The show was kindly sponsored by Armstrong Watson, Laurence Pierce ( Wool Merchants), Taylor & Braithwaite & Pendragon Vets and judging was carried out by Charles Headley, Bishop Auckland who had a fantastic show of sheep put in front of him. He awarded his first prize to a excellent pen of 10 Mule Hoggs & Lambs consigned by Messrs Sowerby, Terrys Farm which topped at £94 per Life.
