Weekly sales of Dairy cattle are held at Borderway each Wednesday
commencing at 10.45am.


Wednesday 16th December
A larger number of cows and fresh heifers were forward and met another keen trade.

Leading prices:- Holstein Friesian £1900 Skirwith Hall, £1800 Forest Hill, £1750 Plumpton Foot Farm, £1750, £1600 Kirkber Farm, £1680 Briggle Farm, £1600 The Harras, £1600 Seaville Cote. British Friesian £1650 Lake View, £1600 High Griseburn.


Wednesday 9th December
A smaller show was on offered but trade remained strong.

Leading prices:- Friesian £1980, £1720 Hewer Hill Farm, £1550 Briggle Farm, £1480 Bolton Cottage Farm


Wednesday 2nd December
A smaller show of dairy cows were on offer to a crowded ringside of purchasers which led to cattle selling to maintain recent high rates.

Leading prices:- Holstein Friesian £1750, £1450 Plumpton Foot Farm, £1420 Calder Farm, £1400 Briggle Farm.


Wednesday 25th November
A large number of cattle forward with all classes selling to exceed recent high rates.

Leading prices:- British Friesian £2050, £1600 Hewer Hill Farm, £1500 The Howes, Holstein Friesian £1750 Bolton Cottage Farm, £1750 Helm Farm, £1650 Cotegill, £1450 Briggle Farm, £1400 Plumpton Foot Farm.


Wednesday 18th November
A smaller entry but demand as keen as ever for correct young cows and fresh heifers.

Leading prices:- Holstein £1850 Plumpton Foot Farm, £1780 Bolton Cottage Farm, £1680 Wampool Grange. British Friesian £1650, £1620, £1600The Howes, £1620 High House.


Wednesday 11th November
A larger show of cows were offered to a larger crowd of purchasers with all classes selling with trade seeing to be sharper on the week.
