Oasisview herd disperses at Borderway

The Oasisview herd of pedigree Holstein cattle dispersed it’s milking portion on Wednesday 19th August 2009 at Borderway Mart Carlisle. The herd was owned by K.W. Philipson Glebe Farm, Kirkland, Penrith, in total there were sixty animals sold with the majority of the herd having calved in the spring.

The top price went to Oasisview Knighthood Mischief 3 selling for 1,720gns to CE Hancock & Son, Brook Farm, Elton, Sandbach, Cheshire. She was sired by Painley Knighthood and had recently calved at the end of July.

F Awde, Broadmeadows Farm, Melmerby, Penrith purchased Oasisview Melody Marqi 3 for 1,400gns. She had recently calved at the end of July and traces back to the famous Marq I family from North America.

Next to impress the buyers was Oasisview Hertage Butterfly, she was a daughter of Eastview Hertage M-G and sold in calf to Burlane Tennyson due in November. This cow sold for 1,320gns and now joins the herd of PR&LR Hunter, Stoneraise Place, Westward, Wigton.

N Wilson, The Trees, Newton Arlosh, Kirkbride paid 1,300gns for a daughter of Ospal Finley. She sold in calf to Ked Ouitside Jeeves due with her third calf in March of next year.
