Pedigree Dairy Day Show and Sale
Wednesday 25th February 2009

The second sale of the year for the Border and Lakeland Holstein Club held at Borderway Mart Carlisle once again proved a great success with an overall average for cows and heifers at £1927. There were fewer animals forward than normal reflecting the continued shortage of dairy replacements. Top quality heifers were also in short supply compared with previous months as were volume buyers resulting in a drop in value on the month however trade still remains buoyant in all aspects of the dairy market.
