On Tuesday the 29th July 2008 Harrison and Hetherington Ltd sold 306 store and breeding cattle including the part dispersal sale from M/s Walker, Lammonbie and M/s Bell, Crosslands.

156 store cattle started the day on an upbeat trade. Leading the sale was a Limousin bullock from M/s G & W Halliday, Crawthat peaking at £930, closely followed by a pen of six reaching £845.

Shortly followed after the store cattle, the sale of 150 In-calf and cows with calves at foot on behalf of the Lammonbie and Crosslands herds.

Leading the way from the Lammonbie herd of In-calf cows was a fantastic ¾ Limousin cow sold Pd’d to the Limousin bull for £1000 to M/s Westgarth, Setterah Park, PENRITH.

A tremendous show of cows and calves were also forward from M/s Bell, Crosslands. Selling to a top of £1450 for a British Blue cow with an outstanding Lim X calve at foot selling to M/s Carruthers, Glenzierfoot, Cannonbie.
