The UK’s top genetic performance flock came under the hammer on Wednesday 23rd January 2008 at Borderway, with the dispersal sale of the adult portion from the Lumbylaw Texel flock of Richard Oates based in the borders of Roxburghshire. Both established and new breeders gathered including Northern Ireland and telephoning bidding for a client in Holland. Topping the sale at 2,600gns was a March 2003 born daughter of Callerton Gleneagles and selling in lamb to the highly rated home bred carcase sire Lumbylaw Nelson.
