Tamhorn Zodiac tops Beef Shorthorns at 3,500gns

Top priced Beef Shorthorn on Friday 23rd May 2008 was 3,500gns paid for a two-year-old roan bull, Tamhorn Zodiac, from D. and J. Wyllie, Tamworth, Staffordshire.

This bull is a Bilsdale Wellington son out of a Cairnsmore Nike Sportsman-sired dam. Zodiac took the overall championship before selling to A.O. Bell, Gordon, Berwickshire.

At 2,550gns Sandwick Magic Zabrina topped the female section. Sired by Croxtonpark Ken this two-year-old was consigned by A. and C. Ivinson, Penrith, Cumbria, and sold to T. Severn, Barkisland, Halifax.
