The Border and Lakeland Holstein club sale was a total success for all involved. This venue once again proved that Borderway is the best place in the UK to purchase top quality Holstein cows and heifers in milk. Borderway Black and White Sale - 29th November 2008
The Borderway Black and White Sale on Saturday 29th November 2008 hosted at the Borderway sale Centre, Carlisle, attracted the very best of UK pedigree dairy genetics and resulted in a top price of 20,000gns and an overall sale average of over £5,000. [report]

Pedigree Dairy Day - 12th November 2008
The Border & Lakeland Club enjoyed some “normality” on Wednesday at their monthly show and sale, with the border open and Scottish buyers back and able to purchase, the trade was brisker than the previous two months. [report]

Pedigree Dairy Bull and Female Day - Wednesday 10th September 2008
As if the dire weather wasn’t enough to dampen enthusiasm, the dreadful timing of the bluetongue zoning changes up north was enough to confuse and quieten buyers at the Annual Autumn Dairy bull and female sale. [report]

The rescheduled sale of pedigree and commercial Holstein cattle for Highberries Farming Ltd was held on Saturday 30th August 2008. [report]

Kinnudie Herd - Wednesday 27th August 2008
On Wednesday 27th August 2008, Harrison & Hetherington held the dispersal of the “Kinnudie” Herd of pedigree Holstein cattle. This sale was well supported from all parts of the UK, with buyers travelling from as far as Orkney in the north and Cheshire in the south. [report]

Pedigree All Breeds Dairy Day - 20th August 2008
The entry comprised a great variety of Holstein, Jersey and Ayrshire young cows and heifers. An understandable caution among the buyers, owing to the weather and feed cost in particular meant that the trade was not quite as brisk as the last couple of club sales. [report]

Pedigree Dairy Day - 16th July 2008
Champion, “Nethervalley Rotate Jed Darlene VG85” from Robbie Scott’s highly reflected stock crowned another good day, not just for him and the buyer but for the entire consignment of 130 milking heifer and young cows and the Glenconner youngstock dispersal. [report]

Orton Grange Herd - 15th May 2008
The Orton Grange herd of pedigree Holstein cattle was dispersed on Thursday 15th May at Orton Grange Farm. The sale comprised of some tremendous animals by leading sires that sold to a high of 3,400gns. [report]

Fairburn Estate, one of Scotland finest Estates situated in the highlands sold their herd of Pedigree Holsteins at Borderway on the 7th May. [report]
