Annual Prize Show and Sale of
Suckled Calves

Harrison & Hetherington Ltd held their Annual Prize Show & Sale
of 816 head of Suckled Calves & Store Cattle at Kirkby Stephen Mart
on Monday 29th October 2007. A wonderful entry of Show Calves were forward
for judging in the morning, with judging expertly undertaken by Mr Archie
Mcgregor and prizes kindly sponsored by J G Animal Health, Dugdale Nutrition
of Clitheroe, Novartis Animal Health, North West Limousin Breeders & British
Blue Cattle Society.
It was an extremely good day for the Brown Family of Asby Hall, Great
Asby who took a clean sweep of Supreme & Reserve Supreme Championship
and Limousin Championship, with Messrs H R Hayton & Son, Asby Grange
securing the British Blue Champion & Reserve Championship.

An extremely
good sale ensured with a vast crowd of buyers present to produce averages
for bullocks of £514.96 (- £7.08 on 2006) and a great average
of £446.59 for heifers ( + £30.57 on 2006).
