Kirkby Stephen Cattle – 8th January 2007

Harrison & Hetherington Ltd held their New Year Prize show and Sale of store cattle at Kirkby Stephen Mart on Monday 8th January 2007, where there was an entry of 705 head including 49 geld cows.

Cows peaked at 104.5p/kg for a Belgian Blue from R Marwood & Son, Long Green to average 70.9p/kg for a show of mainly beef crosses. A good ringside of store buyers gathered, and bid well for cattle to produce an average of £539.12 (+ £35.58 on 2006)
