Special Spring Sale of Lleyn Females

LLEYN SPRING FEMALE SALE REACHES £102

A smaller entry of Lleyn breeding females were offered at the annual spring sale on behalf of the Lleyn Sheep Society.

Topping the sale at £102 per head was a pen of empty hoggs shown by local breeder FS Dinsdale of Low Hall, Kirkby Stephen and purchased by N Fortnum of Haugh of Urr, Castle Douglas.

Also reaching the £100 price per head was another pen of empty hoggs coming from FS Dinsdale. This pen was sold to JJ Kingan of Troqueer, Dumfries.

Selling up to £81 was a pen of empty hoggs consigned by E Robertson of Lochwinnoch, Renfrewshire which also went to JJ Kingan of Dumfries.

Averages – 103 ewes with lambs at foot £35.19, 206 emtry hoggs £66.34.
