The annual show and sale of Bluefaced Leicester rams and females was held at Borderway Mart, Carlisle on Friday 12th October 2007.

The pre-sale judging of the rams was carried out by Mr D Henderson of Low Struthers, Allendale, Hexham who awarded the male and overall championship tickets to Mr Tristan Davidson of the Davy Shields flock based at Irthington, Carlisle. His winner was an ARR/ARR genotype shearling ram, sired by an East Dukesfield ram and bred from a Cocklaw sired daughter. Tristan also received the female championship rosette from judge Mr C Dent of Greenriggs, Kirkby Stephen. His winning female was a ewe lamb sired by a Walton ram and out of a Brieryside bred mother.

Topping the sale at £3,600 were two ram lambs. The first into the sale ring was one of two entries shown by WM Hutchinson & Sons of Kirkby Redgate. Their lamb, a son of a Keer ram and out of a home bred mother, sold to Messrs Vickers of Thornley Hall, Tow Law. The other £3,600 entry was consigned by Messrs R & M Scott of the Thirlwall flock. Their lamb was sired by a home bred ram and was successfully knocked down to Messrs Fairburn of Marriforth, Ripon.
