Lifting the reserve male championship ticket and securing the top price of the Galloway section was another young bull shown by George, Christine and Stuart Neve of Haining House Brampton. 16 month old Boris of Haining House, a son of Barlaes Bob and out of a Yokel of Dodgsonstown sired mother, he was sold for 1,200gns to pedigree breeders Messrs BL & M Gordon of Barfil, Dumfries.

The female champion rosette was presented to Messrs R & M Ferguson of Barlaes for the third year in succession. Taking the honours was their home bred bulling heifer, Barlaes Katie 36th, a daughter of New Era of Gall-way and out of a Barfil Bombadier bred mother. She was sold for 850gns.
