12/12/07 The monthly Border & Lakeland Club Sale was supported strongly by Pedigree and Commercial buyers fighting for good quality young cows and heifers. [report] 01/12/07 The Borderway Black & White Sale celebrated its 21st Anniversary in style with one of the greatest consignments of animals ever offered on show. [report] 21/11/07 The November edition of the Border & Lakeland Club Show & Sale was a tremendous event for both sellers and buyers. From Lot 1 until the end, beautiful uddered animals graced the sale ring. [report] 07/11/07 One of the largest crowds of dairy farmers for many years turned up at Borderway Mart on Wednesday 7th November. The attraction was the sale of the Blackisle Herd of Pure British Friesians. [report] 24/10/07 One of the finest herds of cattle of any dairy breed to come under the hammer at Borderway on Wednesday, 24th October when the Kinninmonth herd of 300 Ayrshires belonging to Messrs T Paul of Kinglassie, Fife was dispersed. [report] 19/10/07 Messrs R&W Dinnings Benlaw herd, although maybe not a household name in Pedigree circles, attracted universal admiration from the large crowd of pedigree and commercial dairy farmers in attendance. [report] 17/10/07 17/10/07 There was once again a tremendous display of quality Holsteins at the October Border & Lakeland Club Show and Sale at Borderway Sales Centre. There was a one hundred percent clearance resulting in an overall average for cows and heifers sold of £1430. [report] 10/10/07 The first dairy sale in Borderway Mart following the most recent FMD restrictions was the dispersal sale of Mr David Quayle’s Croesgoch herd, from Moordyke, Wigton. [report] 12/09/07 The Border & Lakeland Club Sale and Dispersal of the Winterside Herd and the Auchenmalg followers provided buyers with a wonderful opportunity to purchase quality animals, many carrying very useful pedigrees. [report] 07/09/07 The first Pedigree Dairy sale to take place after the recent Foot and Mouth restrictions took place at Borderway Sales Centre on Friday 7th September. This sale comprised the complete dispersal of the famous Kerbanks Herd of Pedigree Jersey cattle, owned by John & Jane Chester. [report] 02/08/07 One of the most successful dispersals of Holsteins and Red & White cattle took place on Thursday 2nd August at Raughton Farm, Dalston. The herd was expertly managed by Mark Shadwick and his family who together ran a very successful farming enterprise. [report] 18/07/07 The demand for decent quality young dairy cows and milking heifers seems to be as strong as ever, possibly stronger. Although the number catalogued in the monthly Border and Lakeland Club show and sale was small (40) the trade was consistently excellent. [report] 15/06/07 The event of the Summer took place at Borderway on Friday 15th June. The World Wide Sires Ex-Factor Sale was attended by breeders from all over the British Isles and Main Land Europe. Top Price was paid for Acecroft Goldwyn Zulu at 28,000gns. [report] 13/06/07 13/06/07 Numbers at the June Border & Lakeland Club Show and Sale were similar to last month with the quality shining through. [report] 16/05/07 May saw numbers slightly down for the Border & Lakeland Club Show and Sale, but the quality was still evident. [report] 04/05/07 What a fantastic sale! That’s the phrase that echoed throughout Borderway after the Cheviotview sale on Friday 4th May. [report] 25/04/07 The Special Spring Sale of Coloured Breeds including The Lake Counties Jersey Cattle Club, Gold Top Sale and consignments of Red & White cattle was held at Borderway. [report] 18/04/07 At the April Border & Lakeland Club Sale there was a smaller selection of animals forward than normal, but the quality was of high standard. [report] 04/04/07 28/03/07 The Fremington Herd of Pedigree Holstein cattle owned by Geoff Wilcox of Fremington, Brougham, Penrith dispersed their entire herd in front of a large crowd at Borderway. [report] 21/03/07 15/03/07 John Mackie’s Dalfibble Herd of Pedigree Holsteins was dispersed on the 15th of March 2007 at the Dalfibble Farm. The sale was attended by over 400 people from all over the UK and Ireland. [report] 21/02/07 The final chapter of the famous Threelimes Herd of Pedigree Holsteins took place on 21st February 2007 at Borderway Sale Centre. [report] 14/02/07 Demand still over shadows the supply of freshly calved cows and heifers. This months Border & Lakeland Club show and sale proved this again with an overall average of £1,150.
