The Tynebeck Herd of Pedigree Holsteins owned by Brian Armstrong, The Hollings, Stocksfield was dispersed on the 4th of April 2007 at Borderway. This was a fabulous herd of strong, powerful cattle, with exceptional longevity. There was a wealth of tremendous genetics used over the last 30 years, with bulls like Ullswater Royal Sovereign, Hanoverhill Starbuck, Inspiration and Highlight Mr Mark Cinder seen in many of the sire stacks. Top price was Tynebeck Slocum Dinas a recently fresh 3rd calver giving 34kgs per day. This good looking young cow now joins Seymour Farms, Seymour House, Wigton for 1100gns. Also selling for 1100gns to Mr M.R Adamson, Westminster Acres, Co. Durham, was Tynebeck Sem Linnet. This was a daughter of Dovea Sem, and sold giving 37kgs in her 2nd lactation. Eastview Meadow Lord was the sire of the 3rd highest price, this young heifer had almost completed her 1st lactation, due again in July to Frans.
