The final chapter of the famous Threelimes Herd of Pedigree Holsteins took place on 21st February 2007 at Harrison and Hetherington, Borderway Sale Centre, Carlisle.

The Threelimes Herd owned by Rob and Jenny Musson of Bardarroch Farm, Ochiltree, Ayrshire had some of the Holstein breeds most prolific transmitting families represented. Fradon Tab Maude, Calbrett Valiant April, Cardsland Eclipise Flo and CRF VIC Birch Kitty all had descendants selling.

Bricknell Integrity Amanda VG87

Buyers from all over the UK and Ireland supported the sale; top price was for Bricknell Integrity Amanda VG87 her first record completed at 10882 305 4.81 3.04.

Amanda’s third dam is the highly respected DRA August EX96 and of course the same family as this years All American Jnr 2yr.

She was purchased by Andrew McKellar of Lower Farm, Drointon for 3000gns with the owners retaining a half share.

Threelimes Allen Maude

Mrs F Awde of Broadmeadows Farm, Melmerby, Penrith bought a very stylish daughter of Calbrett Champion from the Flo family for 2300gns. Threelimes Champion Flo was backed up by two Excellent dams the second being Eclipse Flo two times Champion at the Royal.

Threelimes Terrason Maude sired by Innwood Terrason from a VG88 Gelpro, third dam being the awesome Tab Maude, also sold for 2300gns. This long dairy heifer now joins Messrs JH Sloan & Son, Dormieston Farm, Stair, Mauchline.

Doctor Doug Reynolds Oakleigh, Barbon, Carnforth used his astute judgement and purchased a Startmore Rudolph daughter recently fresh in her first lactation and looking like a tremendous cow maker. The dam of this heifer is Cleevale Charles Oprah EX 90 a cow with fantastic transmitting ability. this lot changed hands for 2100gns.

Volume buyer Willis Farms of Greenacres, Portadown, Northern Ireland purchased another fancy daughter of Charles Oprah sired by Summershade Igniter at 2,050gns. Limecourt Igniter Oprah VG85 calved back in November and sold back in calf due again in October.
