Greyfaced Ewe Lambs
On Thursday 11th October 2007, Harrison & Hetherington, Carlisle conducted their noted annual Latter Fair show and sale of Greyface ewe lambs when they presented a catalogued entry of 8,400 head.

The pre sale show was kindly sponsored by Capontree Veterinary Groups and John Scott.

There was an excellent show of ewe lambs with many outstanding pens being presented to the judges Norman and Alf Batty, Flimby Hall who awarded the Championship rosette to Mr B Moore, High Sides, Kellah lambs which went on the sell for £135 to Miss M Faulder, Ewan Close, Armathwaite.

The highest call for a pen of lambs was £180 per head purchased by Mr G E Carter, Parcelstown, Longtown and sold by Highberries Farming Ltd, Scaleby, Carlisle.

The trade in general was very selective with strong lambs meeting a satisfactory enquiry but smaller lambs were very difficult to sell.

Breeding Rams
On Thursday, 11th October at Borderway Mart, Harrison & Hetherington held their breeding ram sale. A good show of 550 tups were presented to the largest ringside of buyers seen at Borderway for some time which ensured the dearest trade seen for some time.
