BORDERWAY MULE SHEARLING GIMMERS

On Monday 10th September 2007 at Borderway Mart, Harrison & Hetherington held their Annual Mule Shearling show and sale when they had a catalogued entry of 2,548.

The judging was ably carried out by Mr Richard Hiorns of Warwickshire, who awarded the first prize ticket to a pen of sheep from Mr Bill Skelton of Rook Farm which were later purchased by the judge for £122 each.

The quality of sheep on offer were exceptional and a crowded ring of buyers ensured that a satisfactory trade prevailed with a sale avaerage of £75.63 (minus £4.73) on the year.
