Kirkby Stephen Annual ‘Luke Fair’ Sale of Cattle

Harrison & Hetherington Ltd held their annual ‘Luke Fair’ cattle sale at Kirkby Stephen mart on Monday 16th October 2006 where there was an entry of 1,157 head including 62 geld cows & OTM cattle.

A fine show of store cattle was forward for this annual special sale and all classes sold extremely well, and in front of vendor’s expectations. Many good bullocks topped the £800 mark topping at £880 for a Blonde Aq cross from A Maughan, Rennals House.

Another large show of geld cows saw prices easier on the previous sale.
