BORDERWAY STORE CATTLE SALE

At Borderway Mart of Wednesday, 10th May 2006 Harrison & Hetherington held their special May show and sale of store cattle.  A catalogued entry of 1,766 head was presented to an unbelievable turn out of bidders who ensured trade throughout was very brisk. 

The pre-sale judging was carried out by Mr W Wardman of Redcar who awarded the championship ticket to the winning Limousin bullock entry shown by A & M Trafford of Bassenthwaite Hall Farm, Keswick.  This red steer sired by a Sarkley bred bull, later sold for £700.  The reserve champion rosette was collected by Farm Tec UK of Goole with their winning Blonde cross steer.
