SALE OF STORE CATTLE

At Broughton Auction on Tuesday 18th April 2006 Harrison & Hetherington held their Annual Fair Show and Sale of Store Cattle.

A fantastic entry of 645 cattle were forward and bidding was fierce with many purchasers from all over the UK to take numbers of cattle.

The pre sale show was judged by Mr John Trenholme of Thirsk, Yorkshire and he awarded the Champion to a tremendous Blonde heifer from Messrs Atkinson, Meadow View, Ulverston this later went on to make £750 and was  purchased by David Barker of Scarborough.

Reserve Champion went to a Limousin x steer from Messrs Benson, Gamswell, Ulverston and later went on to sell for £665 to Messrs Dodd, Temple Sowerby.
