Harrison & Hetherington Ltd held their Annual Prize Show & Sale of 71 ‘Elite’ Swaledale Ewes & Gimmer Lambs on Friday 22nd September 2006.

The Sale average rose by £136.58 in the ewe section to level at £668.52; Gimmer Lambs averaged £325 (+£93.50).

The show which was sponsored by N T O'Reilly & Partners, Accountants was judged by Mr D Nelson, Priorsdale, who made the following awards:-

1st & Overall Champion – W Richardson & Son, Hill House - £2,500 to G M Sibson
2nd - R Maywood & Son, Long Green - £850 to Miss K Raine
3rd - W Richardson & Son, Hill House - £1,500 to M/s, Harrison, Sleddale Hall

Gimmer Shearling
1st & Reserve Champion – C R Thorn borrow, West Stonesdale - £2,200 to L Raine & Sons, Coach & Horses
2nd – J R & A Blades, Scarr House – Not sold
3rd – Mossdale Farms, Hawes - £550 to M F & K C Stobart, Grains O Beck

Gimmer Lambs
1st – R Marwood & Son, Long Green - £520 to D Hanson, Whitby
2nd – P Hallam, Scarr House - £130 to J M Rowlandson, Middle Farm
