Harrison & Hetherington Ltd, Borderway Mart held their Annual Bluefaced Leicester female sale on Monday 23rd January 2006.

A pre-sale show was conducted with the Judge being Mr Neil Marston of East Highberries, Scaleby. A strong selection of top quality sheep were shown testing the ability of the judge, which he professionally adapted himself too and awarded the first placed ewe lamb the Championship from M/s Lord of Hewgill and the Reserve Champion was given to the second placed ewe lamb from M/s Kerr of Craigskean.

The show was then followed by with the sale which was packed with buyers who had travelled from all corners of the UK (Northern Ireland, Cornwall, Aberdeen and Isle Of Man).

Trade was very competitive with all sellers exceptionally pleased with all prices.

Averages:- 29 aged ewes £321.88, 28 shealing gimmers £429.75, 23 ewe lambs £528.65.

Clear View Flock- 5 ewes £193.20, 2 shearling gimmers £115.50, 4 ewe lambs £73.50.
