MV accredited Berrichon du Cher rams and females

Bids reached 750gns at the annual show and sale of Pedigree Berrichon du Cher Rams and females on Friday 25th August 2006 at Carlisle.

A geno group 1 twin born shearling ram from the Sunnycroft Flock of M.E. & H.S. Crane, Shipdham, Thetford, Norfolk, made the top money when he sold to E. Burgess, of New Abbey, Dumfries.

One Lot earlier has seen another shearling ram from Messrs. Crane sell up to 650gns. Sired by a past Royal Show Breed Champion the ram sold to S. Parry Jones, of Denbighshire.

Ram and Supreme Champion Lot 164 from R Graham 'Strathallan Flock

The event’s Male and Supreme Champion, a ram lamb that had claimed a First Prize at this year’s Royal Show from the Stirling based Strathallan Flock of Robert Graham,
Bridge of Allan went home with Malcolm Yeo, Yarnscombe, Barnstable, Devon, at 700gns.

Female and Reserve Supreme Champion Lot 204 from MC & KD Yeo 'Swincombe Flock

Roxburghshire farmers Messrs. Dodds & Partners of Jedburgh, paid 550gns for another shearling ram from the Sunnycroft stable while the same money bought the Reserve Male Champion a ram lamb from Iain Johnston of Falkirk. The purchasers were Messrs. Cruickshank of Cleghorn, Lanarkshire who also paid 520gns for another shearling ram from Messrs. Crane.
